The Pierre Marques was by far the jewel in the crown of our Oaxaca-Guerrero trip. The location is good (though a good 20 minute drive to downtown Acapulco), the setting simply perfect (with generous pools opening onto the best beach in Acapulco), and the service wonderful (we booked an ocean front room but asked to move when the connecting room next door proved noisy; the staff was efficient, pleasant and extremely helpful). We spent one day golfing at the course across the street (the first time ever I could walk from my hotel room to the golf course!) and one day at the "quiet pool" and came out of the experience thoroughly relaxed. Guest of the PM can use the facilities at the larger, busier Princesa next door (a two minute shuttle ride away). We went to the spa there and my husband´s 19-year old daughter found that hotel more to her liking, so that may be a consideration for younger travelers. However, the PM is excellent for anyone looking to completely relax and chill out. Will definitely be back.
