“Amazing Stay”

Casa de Campo

We went to Casa De Campo in like April of 2008, and it was gorgeous. We stayed in a 4 bedroom villa, very resonably priced with our own pool. The whole villa was very spacious and cozy, except the bedrooms were the only areas airconditioned, which was kind of a problem in the heat of the day. 7,000 acres, and it was beautiful, with our two wonderful golf carts! This place is so huge you need them. And when we had a problem with one, we got it replaced right away, very helpful!

The staff and concierge were very kind and gracious to us. The food was great at every single place, and Altos de Chavon, a recreation of a mediterranean village was beautiful. We ate at La Piazetta, which had delicious food.

The only thing I don't recommend is the deep sea fishing. All six of us (including 2 kids, 17 and 12) were going to go for half a day, which was 4 hours, or you could go the full day, which was 8. That experience was very unpleasurable, as the boat was extremely small, with not even room for all of us to sit, and the 12 year old got sea sick, so we went in to shore (to our joy). The people running the boat were very sorry though, and genuinely concerned, so we appreciated that.

The Chinese restauarant was great as well.

The horseback riding was great, except it was sweltering hot, and the shooting center was fun as well.

It was a marvelous trip, and we would love to go back.
