Detailed Hotel Information
“Lovely small & friendly hotel”
Colony Club
We stayed at Colony Club late October and it was lovely. Staff were mostly friendly and cheerful (there were one or two exceptions). We did B & B as on previous reviews it was recommended to eat out. Barbados has some world-class restaurants and so it was good to have a treat (we were on holiday after all!). However, the prices in restaurants were quite expensive. Ate at The Cliff, Tides and Lonestar. All good. Fishpot was our favourite and was excellent as usual (bit more reasonable too). All are a cab ride away. If you like a drink, take some duty free with you for your room.
Reading the previous review you would not think we stayed in the same hotel .... even at the same time! We did have a bit of rain each day but it didn't last long. We didn't even notice any smell from the swamp alongside the hotel but it did go a funny colour after heavy rain. Met loads of people and no-one else was complaining either.
Overall, a lovely hotel and we would stay again. Only criticism are the beach traders who could sometimes be a nuisance and should be stopped from hassling the guests on the beach.
